My favorite day of the year!

Well of course it's my favorite day

It's my birthday!

So no baking for me..

I was glad to spend the whole day with my family and go out to a great dinner with my parents.

there were sweet gifts, funny gifts and lots of laughs to be had on this
 great day

one of the sweet gifts came from a 

very sweet friend,

and wow she knows me VERY well 

Yes, she manages to find the perfect gifts, I don't know how she does it :) she is so thoughtful.

A beautiful hand painted cupcake glass and

a cupcake apron :)

for sure I'm only going to be drinking out of this glass from now on!

a funny gift would be from my dad

if you've read and provious posts that involve my dad you'll know he has a great sense of humor 

and after listening to me complain about how are toilets are driving me nuts over the past 

SEVERAL MONTHS

 the water running 

and changing of flappers 

 adjustments of chains

 cleaning of  tanks......

I've requested him to come and check them out on several occasions,

and he has obliged

you know how it goes... he gets here and magically they work fine!

I've even taken a video so he doesn't think I'm nuts..

(well convincing him of that will be hard, he is my dad after all)

I've held up the phone so he can hear it more times than I can count.

well...

he bought me new flappers..

yes

we only have three toilets

but apparently I will need many

(and yes my super-coupon has "fixed the toilets too)

but apparently 

the water running...

and running..

and running...

 is only driving me nuts

and no one else!

 Although I'm sure the 

 water company

LOVES ME!

So I will try again and hope new flappers work, maybe these are magic flappers, because surely they were purchased by a person with the MAGIC touch. 

(this is really it for me, I hope they work, keep your fingers crossed)

Onto the dinner...

followed by eclairs for dessert

they are one of my favorites

and god bless the woman who made them 

and had trouble with the chocolate not cooperating and other kitchen mishaps

They were delicious....really

but boy did I have fun laughing..

good thing she laughed too

I felt bad for laughing,

 knowing how much effort she put in

but I found them a little funny looking :)

and why would little g have a napkin shoved in his mouth...

he did it himself, 

he didn't want to have what happened to me,

 happen to him

I spit my drink all over the table laughing

gotta love that super coupon of mine for getting all the shots...

glad to see there were none with the drink coming out my nose!

Like I said,

best birthday spent with the best people :)
